Posted March 4th, 2009 by synaestheteI'm new to energyXT and find it very easy to use. It has some failings when compared to Tracktion but is a great piece of software to get ideas down fast. This track was completed in 13 hours, most of the time spent in familiarisation and is a work in progress. Horns, dynamic drum programming and some effects other than reverb to be included.

The Brawl
Posted January 31st, 2009 by soulmosaicThe guitar tracks were created solely with XT's guitar amp simulator. I was really impressed at the quality of the sound, and relatively small CPU requirement (P4 2.4GHz, 1.5G ram). Xt 2.5 is definitely a step up from prior versions. Not just a value but a very competitive professional product, and easy workflow.
Beat Slicer in ext2
Posted January 20th, 2009 by gambleUnfortunately, energyXT2 doesn't feature a beat slicer (yet). As a workaround, you can insert a VSTi instance of energyXT1.4.1 into your version 2 project and add a sampler in modular view within the ext 1 plugin.
For you to start, you can download the Beat Slicer template file below. It only contains an ext2 project with one track. The Beat Slicer doesn't contain any samples, so feel free to drop some loops and cut those right away.
